Speaking of flying - I gotta get to the field. I love the electric but there are times when making sure all of the batteries are charged before flying can become a chore.
Rc fuel pump madison components manual#
I am now struggling to determine whether I want the electric or the manual to show up in Santas sleigh. There is also a screw on funnel, with filter screen, that you can purchase to make it easier to add fuel to the container. The fueling stations they sell are made by Jersey Modeler and they are absolutely first class. Interestingly I found a very similar product being sold by Madison Components (I have one of their transmitter stands) and includes everything I mentioned above plus it includes a choice between a manual pump or a very slick cordless electric arrangement that has a 1100 mah NiCd, 9.6v that can be charged with your wall charger that came with your radio. The best fueling assy is made by DuBro, is red, fits into an easily drilled hole in the cap and is about $8.00 - they last forever and work very nicely. The whole thing is portable and I charge the battery with a Triton chager. The low center of gravity makes it ideal for transporting because it does not fall over when going around turns or stopping the car. I have developed some of my own designs and today I am using a cordless one gal plastic gas container (bought at Walmart for $1.98) using a small gell cell to power an electric fuel pump. I have tried just about every arrangement for glow fuel and I am still experimenting.
